Founded in 2022, the Level UP Regional Wind Orchestra stands for quality, passion, and the strong sense of community shared by the member bands of the VSM Lower Puster Valley district. Around 80 musicians from 24 bands come together to rehearse and perform challenging symphonic wind music beyond the routines of their regular band activities. Since its foundation, the orchestra has been under the artistic direction of Jakob Augschöll, who leads the ensemble with a clear musical vision and great dedication. This year, the orchestra is taking on a very special musical challenge with Johan de Meij’s renowned Symphony No. 1, “The Lord of the Rings.” Let the orchestra’s powerful soundscapes, epic melodies, and captivating energy transport you to Middle-earth.
