Bruneck calls – and the sports clubs come. For years, the Kronplatz region in the Dolomites has been the place for national and international prof sports teams to meet. Football clubs like VfL Bochum, Inter Milan and Sparta Prague beat a path to our door every summer. As do the basketball elite such as FC Bayern Munich or Basket Treviso. It is the ideal training conditions in the area that the clubs love. The healthy mountain air, varied landscape, and excellent food. But above all the high quality sports facilities. Bruneck is living up to its name as the sporting town in the Alps, with modern sites such as Sportpark Reischach, football pitches, indoor basketball courts and climbing walls as well as the new Intercable Arena, which is the top venue for international ice hockey games.
VfL Bochum 1848 will also set up its summer training camp in the Dolomites region of Bruneck Kronplatz in South Tyrol in the coming years. The club from "Castroper Straße" has extended the existing partnership until 2024 - regardless of the league affiliation.
The training camp of VfL Bochum 1848 is and will continue to be a highlight of our summer season. Additionally, the partnership offers a great opportunity to showcase our region in Bochum and the Ruhr area.
