Heinrich Kainz’s visit to the Auschwitz concentration camp in 2024 was a defining experience. Kainz is the local representative of the Heimatpflegeverein Naturns-Plaus in Plaus.
“I came back deeply shaken,” recalls Kainz, who received the State of Tyrol’s Medal of Merit in 2023. “With my book, I wanted to make a small contribution to remembrance and peace.”
