A lovely circular walk for families with pushchairs, combining moderate climbs with peaceful stretches and beautiful views of Bruneck and Kronplatz.
This leisurely circular walk connects Bruneck with the sunny village Dietenheim and is particularly well suited to a relaxed stroll with a pushchair. The route follows easily accessible paths through a variety of built-up and green areas, offering frequent beautiful views of Bruneck, Kronplatz and the surrounding countryside along the way. The walk is ideal for families who want to get out and about without a major physical challenge, whilst enjoying a mix of village life and countryside.
Along the tour you will find some benches, a water funtain and some coffee places/bars in Bruneck and Dietenheim.
From Kapuziner Square in the center of Bruneck, follow the pavement along Andreas Hofer Street in a northerly direction. Once you reach the roundabout on the northern outskirts of the town, walk along the board wall on the right - track sheltered from the wind here - in direction Dietenheim. At the next roundabout, cross the road and then ascend to the church in the centre of Dietenheim. Here turn right towards Luns, following a sunny asphalt route, rrounded by countryside, from where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Brunico and Kronplatz. At the next junction, walk down to the right and after about 50 metres follow the path to the left which, after a pedestrian subway, passes the bocce (bowling) court and leads to the main road - Dante street. Follow it to the left to reach after a few minutes the starting point of the tour.
You can also start the walk from the roundabout on the northern outskirts of town. Here you’ll find several free parking spaces, though you’ll need to use a parking disc.
