An scenic walk through Pfalzen's countryside: among fields, hedgerows and old dry-stone walls, the ‘Rocks Tell a Tale’ themed trail brings the landscape to life.
A stone gate marks the starting point of this varied circular walk, which combines the diverse landscapes around Pfalzen and Issing with cultural attractions and unique experiences of nature. It winds through fields and meadows, past copses of hazel, dog rose, elder, wild cherry and blackthorn, past old dry stone walls covered in moss and lichen, and a very carefully laid wall with lovely seating areas in the built-in niches. During the walk, sunny meadows, peaceful woodland sections, well-maintained cultivated landscapes and beautiful vantage points alternate. Time and again, charming views open up onto the surrounding farms, villages and the South Tyrolean mountains.
This themed trail offers a delightful blend of nature, culture and exercise, providing a varied insight into the rural surroundings of the Puster Valley.
