The hike to Aschbach and Redensberg hut is a quiet and scenic tour above Rasen in the Antholz Valley. The two alpine pastures are idyllically located at around 1,945 m and offer lovely views over the valley and the surrounding mountains.
The ascent leads through shaded forest and along pleasant trails with a steady incline. At the alms, the landscape opens up and reveals views of the Dolomites.
As the huts are not serviced, the atmosphere is particularly peaceful and unspoiled – ideal for those seeking routes away from the more frequented paths.
The tour can be started from different points and adapted individually.
From the starting point in loc. Redensberg (1,379 m), which can be reached by car, follow trail no. 4, which steadily climbs through the forest up to Aschbach and Redensberg Alm (1,945 m).
The route mostly follows well-maintained paths and ascends evenly through the forest.
Return along the same route back to Redensberg.
Alternatively, the hike can also be started from Niederrasen, Oberrasen or Aschbach.
From the Pustertal road, turn into the Antholz Valley and drive to Niederrasen, Oberrasen or further up to loc. Redensberg.
