We look forward to welcoming you to our family-run inn and ensuring you have a pleasant stay in Gais. Our family has been running the inn with great passion and personal dedication since 1972. As a genuine family business, it has always been particularly important to us to welcome our guests in a warm and friendly atmosphere and to ensure they have a pleasant stay.
Our guesthouse is situated in a quiet location in the centre of Gais. Despite its central position, you’ll be staying away from the main road and can enjoy a peaceful retreat. The ideal location between Bruneck and Sand in Taufers makes our house the perfect base for numerous activities in the Ahrntal and Pustertal valleys. Whether it’s varied hikes through the impressive mountain landscape, cycle tours through South Tyrolean countryside or motorbike trips over the most beautiful Alpine passes – in summer, countless opportunities for active holidays await you. In winter, the nearby Kronplatz is a particular draw, with perfectly groomed slopes for skiers and snowboarders.
Our inn is a convenient and pleasant place to stay, not only for guests on holiday but also for business travellers. Anyone travelling on business in the Puster Valley, the Bruneck area or the Ahrntal Valley will benefit from our peaceful yet central location in Gais. Bruneck, the main town of the Puster Valley, is just 6 kilometres away and can be reached quickly. Sand in Taufers is also just around 9 kilometres away. This makes our inn ideal for tradespeople, sales representatives, field staff and anyone looking for hassle-free accommodation with a personal touch.
Whether you’re looking for comfortable accommodation for a business trip, planning a short break or wishing to spend a few relaxing days in the Puster Valley – you’ve come to the right place. Our inn warmly welcomes solo travellers, couples, families and business travellers alike, and offers the right accommodation to suit everyone’s needs.
We offer cosy rooms with shower and toilette, some with a balcony and lovely views. Depending on your needs, you can choose between double rooms – which can, of course, also be used as single rooms – triple rooms and spacious four-bed rooms for families or small groups. Your four-legged friends are also very welcome here, so you can enjoy your stay together with your pet.

All around our inn, there are plenty of opportunities to discover and enjoy the natural beauty and diversity of the holiday region, and to make your stay active and varied.
Just a few minutes’ walk away is the popular ‘Baggalocke’, a natural swimming lake with a spacious sunbathing lawn, which is free to access and offers refreshment and relaxation on warm days.
For nature lovers and active holidaymakers, the surrounding area offers a wide variety of walking trails to suit all fitness levels. Particularly popular are the themed and adventure trails, such as the "Waalweg" or the cultural path, which combine nature, exercise and fascinating insights into the landscape in a unique way.
Cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy: the well-developed cycle path from Bruneck to Sand in Taufers runs right through the region and is ideal for leisurely rides through the countryside.
Another special experience is the lantern walk to Neuhaus Castle, which takes place weekly in summer and winter and offers atmospheric moments in a unique setting.
When summer comes to Bruneck, hardcore mountain sports fans and gourmets are equally happy. That’s because in the varied natural surroundings down in the valley and up in the mountains it is equally easy to burn off your excess energy as it is to relax. How about you? Do you like to go hiking or do you never go on holiday without your mountain bike or e-bike? Perhaps you are looking for adventure and wouldn’t mind a bit of paragliding or canyoning? Or maybe you prefer rock climbing or golfing? A plunge into a mountain lake or a relaxing day by the pool? No matter what you want to do on your summer break in Bruneck, the possibilities are as varied as the mountains that surround you. You only have to seize them.
Your perfect winter moment? Mountain air in your nostrils, sunshine in your face and snow crunching under the edges of your skis? Then there’s no time like the present! From Bruneck it’s just a stone's throw to the lifts, which will carry you up to the Kronplatz in comfort. And awaiting skiers and snowboarders there are no less than 121 perfectly groomed kilometres of slopes. Do you prefer to enjoy winter away from the piste? Then we recommend a lovely winter hike – on foot, or with snowshoes, if you like things quiet and still. And, of course, there are great ice skating and tobogganing facilities in Bruneck too. And what's the cross-country skiing like, I hear you ask? Fantastic! Marked trails can be found directly in the town at Reischach sports park as well as in our neighbouring villages.
