Directions
From Kapuziner Square run into Stuckstraße and then follow first the Tielt Promenade and then the Szamotuly Promenade - both running along the river Rienz - in direction Lamprechtsburg Castle. The medieval castle is privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside. From here you continue to Reischach, into the village centre, where you turn right shortly before the church and run through the fields to the small chapel Kappler Stöckl. Now continue along the field path to the main road, where you turn right and follow the pavement for about 200 metres. Then cross the road and turn left towards the "Kaiserwarte" and "Kühbergl". Here the route runs mostly downhill through the forest, past the three small lakes, to the war cemetery (bruial site of about 900 soldiers from World War I and II), where you follow the path on the right towards the castle. After crossing the bridge, you will reach the castle that houses the Messner Mountain Museum Ripa. Take the path that runs to the right below the castle and first cross the "Schlossweg" before descending a few steps to the "Kronplatzweg" and immediately turning right to the "Pfarrplatz", from where you continue along the "Mühlgasse" to the "Tielt Promenade" and finally back to the starting point.
The starting point of the route can be reached by public transport.
