The Kronplatz as future centre of the Dolomites
With the new “Piculin” cable car, connection to the lifts in Alta Badia and “Dolomiti Superski”, and thus access to the “Sellaronda”, has become reality. The new lift on the south-western side of the Piz de Plaies with the valley station in Picolin (Val Badia) will cover a distance of 1500 metres and climb 500 metres, carrying 2400 skiers per hour.
At the valley station in Picolin (Gader Valley) you will find a modern service centre with parking spaces, information point, ski pass office, ski rental, ski depots and a restaurant. The attractive “Piculin” black run that belongs to it runs for 2000 metres and covers a height difference of 500 m over a natural landscape into the Ladin village of Piculin.
Low-floor buses run every 20 minutes from Picolin (free / included in the cost of your ski pass) from and into Alta Badia.
Kronplatz will in future also be the starting point and destination of a world-famous and unique ski safari in the heart of the Dolomites.
