South Tyrol is famed for its magical variety, and this certainly applies to Bruneck, the Puster Valley's main town. "Bruneck is varied" is therefore a slogan of the tourist information office, and there are not many places where such a slogan is as appropriate as it is here. Bruneck has a wonderful, historic centre in which visitors can shop, browse and walk. New, high quality modern shops are combined with smaller, less conspicuous ones, in which you can find plenty of things of interest. Bruneck has a varied range of entertainment on offer, including for night owls. During the day you can enjoy a nice cappuccino in the old town or a homemade Italian ice cream, and on an evening in the many bars with their attractive atmosphere there is a selection of local wines of the highest quality.
